Our Roots in the Insurance Business Run Deep
Before we bought and sold homes, before we provided mortgage loans, before we developed and managed properties … we were in the peace of mind business. When our founder, George C. Blanchard, joined forces with Francis Calhoun in 1919, he was, in the vernacular of the time, “an insurance man” – one of the foremost in the south. After only a few years in the insurance business, young Blanchard was made manager of the eastern Georgia district of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. Local news outlets hailed his remarkable progress. By the time George founded Blanchard and Calhoun, his commitment to protecting the assets of his clients was well established. And that commitment has stood the test of time. We value what you value, and we have George to thank for that.
