Blanchard and Calhoun is a long-standing member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, a by-invitation-only network of independent real estate brokerages – 565 firms in 70 countries with 130,000 sales associates producing 1.1 million global transactions each year. That’s a lot of companies and a lot of people working across the miles to ensure seamless transitions for individuals and families who are buying and selling homes all over the world. Imagine our surprise when, out of this impressive group of businesses, we were selected by LeadingRE to receive the 2018 Rainmaker Lead Generation Award, an annual accolade that recognizes a member company for unique and successful business development initiatives.

The Rainmaker Award is a particularly humbling shout out for us. It highlights our support of Fort Gordon, members of the armed forces, and their families, which includes buying lunches at local restaurants during Military Appreciation Month, sponsoring breakfast meetings for the Association of the United States Army several times a year, and donating meals and toys to military families during the Fort’s annual Christmas House drive. While we have worked with our military friends and neighbors for decades, we formalized our approach in 2015 by joining the Military on the Move program. Through this alliance, we are able to connect our military clients with experienced realtors on every continent with the exception of Antarctica.

But who wants to live on Antarctica anyway? And, realtors in all those other countries are able to send clients to us. Beyond connections, the MOM program provides a very tangible benefit to active duty, retired military, and wounded warriors: a same as cash rebate to assist with the cost of buying or selling a home. At Blanchard and Calhoun, we believe in service – and, there is no higher calling than service to our nation. We’re proud to receive this award, but we’re even more proud to assist our military families and to thank them for the great personal and professional sacrifices they make to keep our country safe.
